Can I borrow this?

“It is dawn and the mauve sky hovers between night and day. The colonies of sparrows perched in the plane trees that line the square begin their chorus. The birdsong pierces the sky like a handful of thrown silver.”
–The Witch of Cologne, Tobsha Learner

Oh I saw this book the other day and was sorely tempted to pick it up! Are you enjoying it?

Oh Hello Anonymous.
Yes I am enjoying this one. It's a little brutal and some people might find aspects of it offensive but I'm really getting into it. I think it's written well and is refreshingly different. I'm always up for well researched historical fiction.

Further- There are some real cringe moments to be survived.
